Mindfulness meditation has been used for centuries by religious and philosophical teachers to develop self-knowledge and wisdom.

I have been training in mindfulness meditation for the past ten years and rejoice in passing on my knowledge and experience.

What is meant by Mindfulness Meditation?  It is about reconnecting with our bodies and the sensations we experience in our minds.  It is about developing our awareness of the undercurrent of thoughts and feelings that are always present.  When we are able to do that, we can positively change the way we see ourselves and our lives.

Beginning the practice of mindfulness meditation is not easy but, with my experience, I am able to help students manage their thoughts, and deal with distractions. We learn to bring back our attention to the present moment when our mind starts to wander. This can be very hard at first but I provide the right atmosphere and guidance and, with gentle practice, it becomes possible.  With training, awareness of this kind can help us recognise signs of stress and anxiety and help us deal with them.

As part of the training, we also learn self-compassion and kindness to others.
